This is a permanent position based in Dubai. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing a high standard of business performance analytics, identify trends, risks, opportunities and insight to the executive management team. The successful applicant will be comfortable in analysing large amounts of transaction data to identify the most critical insights which will help to drive continued growth in this exciting business. The senior analyst will be required to build strong relationships with the executive leadership team as well as the Merchant Services Team while developing a solid understanding of the business dynamics across the region. This is a truly analytical role with the opportunity of having a significant impact on the business and therefore requires someone with exceptional analytical skills and a high level of intellectual curiosity.
Key Responsibilities include:
Providing a high level of support to the executive management team for the annual budget process
Tracking the annual company operational plan, driving the completion of actions and assisting in building robust reviewing procedures for objective owners across the company, whilst continuously challenging results and providing insights to all relevant stakeholders
Supporting the Merchant Services Team by tracking retailer and overall performance vs budget with variance analysis into drivers of over and under attainment
Providing monthly analysis and insights of retailer and country performance to the executive management team and Merchant Service managers.
Undertaking relevant project analysis to assess strategic initiatives that can be implemented to drive profitability across the business, or limit exposure of risks to the business
Ad hoc analysis into key trends, assessing the drivers of these trends, the sustainability of them and influencing any decisions which should be taken to take advantage or defend against them
Ad hoc commercial finance support to the management team where needed
ACCA or ACA or CIMA Qualified
Graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree and a strong academic record
Strong, relevant experience in a similar role.
Experience of analysing country / division / product performance and identifying trends, risks and opportunities and seeing where best practices can be shared
Experience of dealing with senior management and building executive relationships
Must be logical, self-motivated, proactive, with strong analytical skills and a high level of intellectual curiosity
Excellent time management skills, demonstrating high levels of accuracy, thoroughness and reliability whilst coping under pressure
Advanced excel skills with a knowledge of building dashboards
Experience in working within a business that handles a high number of transactions
