National Debt Advisors, a leader in the financial industry based in Cape Town, is looking for a hardworking, goal-orientated Compliance Officer to join their fast-paced and dynamic company. The successful candidate will assist in managing the risk and behaviour of the business, which assures alignment with internal policies and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements. This role will carry the responsibility of conducting audits and checks within various business departments to compare professional standards, check for accepted best business practices and minimize risk to the business. Compliance Officers will have the authority of a Team Leader and may act out corrective action in accordance with the company's rules and regulations.

Role Overview:

- Reviewing legislation

- Communicating industry changes which may affect the business to all stakeholders (review may be a management function)

- Providing learning and coaching support to employees

- Applying disciplinary action

- Foreseeing, minimizing and managing risk

- Ensuring overall business compliance between and across all units

- Providing the Compliance Manager with support managing NCR (National Credit Regulator) complaints


Requirements:

- Matric/NQF Level 4 qualification

- Clear ITC and criminal record

- Registered Debt Counsellor (TBA)

- Minimum two years' call center environment experience

- Minimum two years' Debt Review industry experience

- Minimum one year's Insurance industry experience

- Call evaluation experience

- Familiarity and understanding of the Debt Review legal procedure


Responsibilities:

- Conducting various audits within the business

- Conducting internal investigations throughout the business units

- Process and procedure comparison

- Identifying process and procedural gaps

- Reviewing legislation

- Communicating industry changes which may affect the business to all stakeholders* (review, may be a management function)

- Providing learning and coaching support to employees

- Minimizing and managing risk

- Ensuring overall business compliance between and across all units

- Provide the Compliance Manager with support with managing NCR complaints
