NDA is in the process of creating a Business Intelligence Team to deliver business insight from data analytics to guide strategy, tactics & execution. Effective analysts need suitable skills to find the right data sets, understand data content and structure, blend and transform data, format data for analysis, visualize data and identify patterns, and explain the meanings of the patterns.

The successful incumbent will possess the ability to validate the findings and deliver value to the goal of the BI Team. Our remit ranges from short term tactical wins to steering mid-long term business strategy, innovation and providing new opportunities.

We are looking for highly intelligent, self-motivated, hardworking and conscientious applicants to help build the BI Team into an influential department in the company. Applicants must exhibit an assertive attitude with the expectation of working out of regular hours to meet deadlines. Data is the IP of the company and valuable as well as open to POPI abuse, integrity is a pre-requisite.

Experience:

- Minimum 6 Months commercial experience with SQL databases and executing queries preferably proficient with PostgreSQL

- MYSQL or MS SQL is acceptable

- Knowledge of Alteryx Designer or Microsoft Visio (advantageous)

- Experience with commercial SQL database

- DB management and maintenance

- Connection strings

- Data quality and integrity

Skills:

- Intermediate Excel skills

- MS VBA (Advantageous)

- Defining tables, ranges

- VLookup, index match

- Array formulas (CSE)

- Graph creation

- Data visualisation

- Call Centre experience - especially Diallers & PDA systems (Advantageous)

- HTML

- PHP (Advantageous)

- API integration skillsets

Mathematical, Statistical and Logical skills:

- Bachelor's degree pass with Mathematics

- Programming and mathematics bachelor's related degree (Preferred)

- Basic Statistics and analysis

- Basic Set Theory

- Ability to understand logical or conditional expressions
