We need a certain charismatic someone with a "can do" attitude who can not only train people, but who can also relate to their audience, entertain, inspire and enthuse. We only consider those who have had working experience in various industries. You will be able to connect to all types of people, have the skills to put people at ease, as well as help those who may not necessarily ask for it and to design, develop and deliver a range of safety programmes covering all aspects of conventional health safety.


Courses to deliver:

  • Level 3 First Aid at Work 
  • Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work 
  • Level 3 Paediatric First Aid 
  • Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid 
  • Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator 
  • Level 3 in First Aid Response 


Paperwork

• Right to work in the UK

• 5 years checkable references

• No criminal convictions (CRB check will be conducted)


Tutor requirements

Highfield requires nominated tutors for this qualification meet the following:

1. Occupational knowledge and competence in first aid - evidenced by holding a first aid at work/medical qualification as detailed below:

a) Holding a current First Aid at Work Certificate (issued by an Ofqual/SQA/Qualifications Wales/CCEA Regulation recognised Awarding Organisation, a HSENI approved training provider or recognised equivalent)

or

b) Current registration as:

• a Doctor with the General Medical Council (GMC**) or

• a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC**) or

• a Paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC**)


c) Knowledge and competency in teaching/training, evidenced by holding an acceptable teaching/training qualification as described below.

d) Knowledge and understanding of how to safely and effectively use an automated external defibrillation (AED) machine.

e) Recognised teaching or training qualification, Level 3 or higher.

f) A minimum of 5 years' experience as a First Aid or healthcare related trainer.

• To be a good team player.


Responsibilities and Duties

• Deliver accredited First Aid Training ( First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid, First Aid Awareness, etc.).

• Complete and mark assessments.

• Develop new and update existing materials.

• Design bespoke courses to meet customer needs.

• Preparing all paperwork and handouts for your training events.

• Arriving early, setting up the training area to our high standards.

• To ensure health & safety of themselves and others whilst at work and follow company policies and procedures at all times.

• The role may also include other tasks as directed by the Academy.
