Quality Management Responsibilities: 

• To plan quality improvement and patient safety activates and implements quality and safety policies in accordance with HAAD ;

• To define, plan and verify needed resources necessary to assure the effectiveness of the quality management system within the facility.

• To edit and manage the quality manual and quality management documentation.

• To manage, coordinate and approve procedures, instructions, and other documents related to quality management.

• To assist in developing and implementing practices and procedures, in consultation with departmental heads, aimed at improving the quality of services.

• To analyze and monitor the quality of work undertaken in departments, taking remedial actions where necessary to ensure that accuracy targets are achieved and to exceed where possible the service's targets against specified performance indicators.

• To provide advice and support to staff on systems and quality matters, ensuring that staff is properly briefed and training is arranged so that targets and objectives can be met.

• To assist in reviewing processes to ensure compliance with the Performance Standards and to undertake ongoing analysis and monitoring where required to meet the standards.

• To carry out risk assessments when changes to systems and significant changes to procedures are proposed

Safety Management Responsibilities: 

• Plans, coordinates, and implements a comprehensive occupational health and safety program in order to prevent injury, occupational illness and damage to AHHC facilities.

• Responsible for, and administers, emergency and maintenance plans in accordance with the set policies and procedures.

• Consults with departmental heads in the implementation of safety programs, analysis, problem-solving, and corrective action plans.

• Develops and implements processes, methods, and tools designed to measure, evaluate, and monitor facility safety performance.

• Determine applicability of administrative and regulatory requirements and other health and safety laws and implement applicable regulations and standards.

• Conduct and supervise facility and site inspections, job hazards analyses and other evaluations to identify hazards and potential risks.

• Make recommendations to the management as required and implement appropriate corrective actions.

• Conduct audits of corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulations.

• Assist with other risk management and environmental health issues.

• Ensure the development of environmental and safety guidelines, as well as routine inspection of the facility to ensure that procedures and regulations are strictly followed.

• Assisting all departments in understanding job hazards and safety precautions.

• Oversee the creation, review, and refinement of the scope of the Patient Safety Program within the facility on an annual basis.

• Develop a mechanism for internal communication of patient safety-related information.

• Support the development of a recognition program aimed at improving patient safety.

Other Responsibilities

• Ensure the implementation of the company's policies that protect the confidentiality of patient records at all times.

• Conduct periodic medical records audits to ensure compliance with HAAD standards and facility policies and provide reports to the Manager.

• Adhere to dress code, personal hygiene and appearance.

• Complete annual education requirements.

• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

• Report to work on time and as scheduled.

• Wear identification while on duty.

• Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state and local regulations.

• Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.

• Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.

• Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of the organization.

• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

• Attend regular staff meetings

Required Qualifications & Skills  

1. Bachelors degree in a healthcare related filed.

2. Proven working experience in Quality Management.

3. Minimum Two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting.

4. Ability to work to tight deadlines.

5. Ability to interrupt rules, regulations and develop policies.

6. Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work.

7. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical and legal information.

8. Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner.

9. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
