Job details
• Process purchase requisitions / orders within purchasing authority.
• Invite, assess, and award/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations and proposals.
• Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions.
• Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports, and price lists.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirement.
• Assist in the development of specifications for equipment, materials, and services to be procured.
• Administer contract performance, including delivery, receipt, warranty, damages, and insurance.
• Reconcile or resolve value discrepancies.
• Comply with and maintain knowledge of applicable rules, legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Address staffing resource needs and supervises purchasing clerk and storekeepers
• Procure equipment, materials & systems complying to project Quality and Specification requirements.
• To procure materials and subcontract in a timely manner within approved budgeted cost.
• Prior to ordering, to check all ex-stocks availability in central stores and sub stores.
• To ensure timely delivery of equipment, material & systems to support site installation works as per approved work program.
• All procurement process should comply with management approved procedures and policies with respect to time, cost, and quality.
• Prepares documentation for internal process as per ISO Standards.
• Excess materials from sites shall be returned back to central stores on monthly basis.
• Develops and maintains a good relationship with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintains company reputation & credibility through fair dealings and prompt payment.
