Management: Planning, organizing, co-ordination


Organisation


 Conducts an annual evaluation of the Cambridge Secondary Programme

 Archives materials that document the Cambridge Journey

 Conducts periodic tests for Cambridge Secondary Pupils


Co-ordination


 Exam Officer - Co-ordinates exams, arranges couriering of materials to Cambridge; enters predicted grades and internal assessment grades; organizes external assessments; analyzes and reports on student results; produces reports on the progress of students in the IGCSE programme both for internal and public consumption.


Planning


 Timetable: Supports senior management in framing and implementing a suitable timetable and in the allocation of teaching to the programme

 Marketing the IGCSE programme

 Recruitment and selection of students

 Counselor- monitor students' well-being and provide support and referral as appropriate: effectively track student academic progress for the duration of the IGCSE programme

 Career guidance

 Communication with Heads of Departments and Teachers: communicate programme needs in a clear and timely manner; establish internal deadlines for submission of items by teachers and students

 Communication with students: ensure appropriate transition of new students to the programme as well as across the programmes; inform students of their results and options to them as a consequence

 Communication with parents; conduct regular information sessions; keep parents informed of students' progress; programme requirements and timelines

 Communication with outside agencies

 Provides after exam support

 In collaboration with senior management at the school, ensure quality teaching and learning in the IGCSE programme

 Teacher mentor; provide support for teaching staff to deliver the programmes and operation of the IGCSE curriculum



Curricula, professional development


 Staff training: organize and approve all professional development for IGCSE teachers in collaboration with the Committee and senior management of the school; induction of new staff into the school's curriculum and programmes

 Curriculum manager- influence decision-making process in curriculum and co-curriculum

 Input into the creation of an assessment and reporting policy in line with school philosophy of assessment practices in the curriculum; ensure that assessment reflects assessment "for", "as", and "of" learning

 Takes a lead in the reporting process

 Working with teachers in developing the curriculum



Symbolic: Capacity to create, communicate and gain commitment to a vision, purpose, values and symbols


 Be a leader in and facilitate collaborative planning meetings within the IGCSE

 Working as part of the pedagogical leadership team at broader curriculum and development issues and longitudinal concerns

 Ensuring the sustainment of a culture of academic honesty and integrity

 Promote the philosophy of the programme and school (excellence, integrity and innovation)



Cultural- capacity to build a strong school culture, shared values, beliefs and commitment to organisation


 Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing the efficacy of middle management in working towards strategic priorities and quality teaching and learning

REQUIREMENTS:

 Required language(s): English and Mandarin (preferred)

 Minimum Qualification Requirement: Bach of Education or relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification (English, Mathematics, Science)

 2 - 5 years of working experience in the related field.

 Prefer candidates with international curriculum experience

 Prior experiences from customer services would be an added advantage.

 Required skill(s): presentation and communication skills, able to send correspondence via email and letters.

 Pleasant personality, positive, dynamic and able to work independently.

 Candidate must possess own transport and willing to travel.

 Has problem solving skill and able to perform multiple jobs assigned.
