At-Tamimi International Islamic School is currently looking for a Shadow Teacher to join our growing team. We are seeking applicants who are devoted to the students they work with and strive to help them excel in their academic pursuits. Written and spoken fluency in English is a must.

REQUIRED TASKS:

• Provide support to students who require special educational needs based on their specific conditions

• Work with our in-school therapist to tailor learning and developmental activities suitable to their cognitive and physical abilities.

• Help some students physically, such as with packing and unpacking bags, eating, going from class to class, going to the washroom, etc.

• Help with activity preparations and delivering activities to students

• Help with monitoring students in and outside of class

REQUIRED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or diploma in Special Educational Needs, Early Childhood Education, or equivalencies will be considered

• Experience in dealing with Students with Educational Needs  is a must

• Ability to effectively communicate with parents on a regular basis  

• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check

Successful candidate should be able to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the subject area(s) assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth, as well as enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
