Job details
Duties:
• Evaluate the costs of transportation, services and inventory within any budget or distribution strategy.
• Manage the process of inputting the sales orders and purchase orders into the ERP system
• Optimize the material and supplier portfolio - that is what materials should be bought in bulk and consumed as needed from inventory by projects, and which materials are best to acquire as needed.
• Prepare and communicate to the Sales product directions, availability, lead times, model transitions, and cost roadmaps for key materials.
• Screen and validate forwarders' invoices.
• Ensure materials and goods reach their destination in a timely and safe manner.
• Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies.
• Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
• Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.
• Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce.
• Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
• Monitor and support returns, damage replacements, and warranty claims.
• Evaluate and improve supplier performance.
• Control the ordering cycle.
• Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
• Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
