The Flete Estate has a total of 75 holiday accommodation bed spaces spread over 10 properties, forming a core part of the Estate. The successful applicant will be responsible for promoting and managing the booking and running of the cottages as well as managing the associated house cleaning teams. As we are always looking to expand and improve our family run business we hope to find someone who is creative and imaginative and who will bring new ideas to explore. The role is two sided, running the holiday cottages and associated social media, while also driving and expanding our weddings, yoga retreats, filming and events. Within the first 6 months they will be expected to have developed a marketing and social media strategy within an allocated budget, in collaboration with the Managing Director. They will be expected to work autonomously, reporting weekly to the Managing Director.


Responsibilities and Duties

To fulfill the role successfully you will be expected to:

• Be friendly and welcoming with existing and new customers, taking bookings and managing guests when they are here. Some guests have been staying with us for 30 years or more!

• Be a visible presence and ensure guests are looked after during their stay, helping to coordinate any add-ons such as fishing or days at the tea house on the beach.

• Be confident using IT and promoting the estate using social media.

• Be organized and efficient, running the house cleaning and changeover teams and coordinating with the maintenance team regarding repairs and renovations.

• Take and manage bookings both online and over the phone - training will be given.

• Expand our existing book of loyal guest, particularly out of season.

• Promote, manage and develop weddings on the estate to an agreed target.

• Promote, manage and develop filming and events on the estate to an agreed target.

• Develop and implement a marketing strategy for growth.

• Develop and implement a social media strategy.

• Assist with forecasting and budgeting.


Working Hours

The basic hours are 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday however exact days and hours may vary depending on events and weddings.

Qualifications, Experience and Qualities

• Motivation and a desire to learn and progress

• Excellent knowledge and passion for social media

• Experience in hospitality and marketing preferable

• The ability to manage others and work as a team

• Confidence when sharing ideas and information and a strong sense of initiative

• Outgoing, friendly and approachable

• Full clean UK driving license - a car will be provided to run around in when you are on the estate
