Responsible in performing diagnostic eye measurements and tests to patients using machines and/or equipments that would provide the doctor with the information needed to arrive at a diagnosis and to prescribe treatment.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The specific tasks of an Diagnostic Technician includes, but not limited to the following:

Performs diagnostic measurement and test on patients based on doctor's order ;

Explains procedure to patients prior executing diagnostic tests;

Develops and prints photo images for clinical examination purposes;

Educates patients on eye disease prevention;

Collaborates with clinic personnel and other health care providers in the delivery of patient care services;

Maintains a clean and safe diagnostic and exam rooms;

Updates records of all diagnostic equipment inventory;

Ensures all diagnostic equipment are kept on a regular preventive maintenance;

Performs other related functions that may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of any allied medical related course

Minimum of less than (1) year experience of the same position

Knowledgeable in opthalmic machine/equipment troubleshooting

Computer Literate
