Product Manager - Strategic Lead ~ Mobile apps &Telematics
Central London (North)
My client is currently looking for an experienced and talented tech product leader to join their growing team and help to build and develop the product team as it works to create a meaningful, engaging proposition that truly fulfils their visions for the future.
This is a strategic position and you will be responsible for managing the Product Owner teams across Insurance, Payments and Ecosystems.
You must have strong telematics / connected car experience or possibly come from a hardcore payments / e-commerce background.
Right now they are focussed on developing platforms, products and services with a fascinating range of applications, building and launching a global consumer connected proposition that brings together a combination of in-car hardware and mobile software,
Responsibilities
1. Leading, building and nurturing the Product Team.
2. Delivering against the clients' product vision, validating and refining our strategy through continuous experimentation and learning along the way.
3. Being the voice of the customer within the business, understanding their wants and needs and translating them into compelling, valuable experiences.
4. Ensuring that the proposition we build delivers against critical metrics for our business.
5. Working with Marketing and key partners to maximise the impact of major product releases on those critical metrics.
6. Working with internal and partner teams to ensure that we always deliver for our customers and they enjoy a brilliant and compelling experience every time they interact with our proposition.
Requirements:
You and your experience
1. At least 7 years' experience in a product management leadership role with ideally 3 years launching new products
2. You are a diplomat who can influence cross-functional teams without wielding formal authority.
3. You are able to demonstrate your successes with insight driven product development. You base your decisions on facts rather than opinions.
4. You have successfully coached Product Teams into reaching their full potential and understand fully what it takes to motivate a talented team.
5. With a positive and can-do attitude to big challenges and comfortable stepping into a newly formed team in a startup environment, you will be a key player where things move fast but the process and structure are evolving
