My client is well established independent consultancy who due to their continued success and growth now have excellent opportunities for experienced and qualified Human Factors or Ergonomics specialists who understands human behaviour values within the design process to join their HF team in Central North London.
This is an exciting opportunity for EITHER a Senior/Proncipal HF Consultant OR a qualified BSc/MSc qualified Human Factors specialist with at least 2 years HF Consultancy experience to join a well-established independent specialist HF consultancy in a flexible, friendly and informal supportive environment with great work life balance and be part of a growing Human Factors (HF) team
About you:
Someone with a background in human behavioural sciences and design - this could be ergonomics, human factors or psychology.
They ideally need experience in two key areas: transport (in particular, rail) and medical devices but are happy to consider candidates with other areas of HF experience
They are interested in either Junior or Senior/Principal qualified HF specialists ideally with consultancy experience
You need to demonstrate your understanding of human factors within the design process bringing a good knowledge of user research and testing methods
You should show understanding of the practical integration of this kind of work within the design process
An eye for developing new opportunities and building relationships with clients would be good as well
Someone who welcomes variety in the work they do and is prepared to work autonomously but come together in teams
Dependent on your Skill set and experience, Key Tasks may include:
Delivery of human factors & design research skills to understand users and user behaviours
Participating in and leading user-centered design projects
Working with designers to articulate user needs
Conducting trials with users
Project management of small to medium sized programmes
Getting involved with the day-to-day work, fostering sharing of ideas and helping us develop as a team
Core Competencies:
Ethnographic and design research methods
Service design methods
Integration of human factors into design and engineering projects
Application of human factors to transport and medical technology projects
