The Storekeeper A (Warehouse Attendant) is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing material. The incumbent will also assist in keeping accurate inventory balances and maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with established policies and practices.

Major Job Tasks

1. Conveys materials and items from receiving to storage or to other designated areas.

2. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to assigned inventory location.

3. Issues material to customers and in current system based on request specifications.

4. Fills requisitions, picklists, requests for materials, and/or other stock items and distributes items to various crafts throughout the facility.

5. Marks materials with identifying information and updates system with location.

6. Performs inventory audits at all warehouses, as required.

7. Provides support for Projects and Turn Arounds, as required.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Word.

2. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including but not limited to the ability to professionally interact with others, and present ideas, proposals and results to management.

3. Ability to organize and prioritize daily work as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor, including tracking and maintaining inventory, and properly completing required audit functions.

4. Working knowledge of warehousing processes and procedures, warehouse equipment operation, and general mechanical maintenance. Educational training will also be given consideration.

5. Proven ability to work well in a team based environment to achieve goals and objectives. Ability to build and maintain good communications and relationships with others to build trust and influence others. Fosters a spirit of teamwork both inside and outside the work group.

6. Communicates in a clear, concise, understandable manner both orally and in writing. Listens carefully and asks questions to understand the views, concerns and comments of others. Openly expresses ideas and opinions. Stays accessible and approachable. Asks for feedback and suggestions from others.

7. This position is subject to shift assignments and weekend assignments.

Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Procurement, Logistics, or related discipline preferred.

2. One year related work experience required. Experience in a Maintenance, Repair, & Operations (MRO) environment preferred.

7. Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Major portions of daily work require application of manual skills involving motor coordination and finger dexterity.

8. The employee will be required to lift and carry a 20 pound file box from a floor to shoulder height
