Job Overview


This position requires individual to have the ability to create English script for production purposes. It also requires the qualified individual to have the ability to work in a PC-based, detail-oriented, and time-sensitive environment. Professionalism must be maintained within the team and with other departments. The ability to follow guidelines, protocols, to identify exceptions, and to have the resourcefulness to handle them is a necessity. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Creating English script for production purposes

• Spotting and Time Coding job for production purposes

• Effectively navigate and manipulate internal files per schedule in an organized fashion

• Accepts and creates feedback to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy for all files completed

• Works in an efficient manner with the highest sensitivity to production's needs and deadlines

• Quick to understand and learn something new

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures


Must be able to demonstrate:

• Ability to present information in a clear, concise manner and be able to follow up on questions and discussions.

• Ability to ensure title translations are properly and consistently implemented into subtitle files.

• Ability to be able to recognize potential inconsistencies and confusion, and take steps to avoid them.

• Strong organizational and time management skills are a must.

• Ability to perform under tight deadlines and be able to meet fast turnarounds.

• Self-motivated and proactive

• Ability to work independently and on own initiative

• Ability to be an excellent team player


Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in translation or related discipline

• Minimum 2 years working experience in language field

• At least intermediate (or advanced) English language skill and a good understanding of English spoken in various accents.

• Typing speed of 40 to 45 wpm

• Experience with medical transcription or general transcription work

• Willing to go on different shift schedules as may be required by the Company.

• Effectively manage multiple deadlines and expectations.
