We are looking for Quantity Surveyor with 5-7 Years Gulf Experience in Claim and Tendering

Job Description
:

• Liaise with & on all operational and commercial issues.

• Preparation submission and agreement of quotations for ;

• Preparation of interim applications.

• Maintain Subcontractor's account.

• Agreement of subcontractors and client final accounts.

• Monitor and follows up submission of drawings and relevant documents by subcontractor.

• Assists the project manager regularly regarding project status and remedies for delays or other.

• Prepares project correspondence in coordination with COO.

• Review contract documents to extract details of required technical submissions and other contractual requirements.

• Prepare log sheets of technical submissions (Materials, Subcontractors, Documents & Method Statements)

• Prepare, review, submit and monitor technical submissions for the projects in coordination with the project managers and purchasing department.

• Prepare and submit variation order requests, including supporting documents and narratives, for on-going projects.

• Prepare payment applications of all on-going projects as per template provided by the client.

• Attend meetings with the consultant's quantity surveyor whenever required.

• Assist project managers on quantity take-off in order to obtain quotations for specific work not indicated in the BOQ.

• Review and control payment certificates prepared by project managers for subcontractors.

• Keep acquainted with all the technical documents available for all on-going and completed projects.

• Perform other technical tasks as requested by the managers.

Skills
:

• Strong understanding of tenders, pre-contracts and post contracts, monthly valuations of work in progress including forecasting of final costs, materials and BOQ, preparation of quotations
.

•Good Communication and Negotiation Skills with ability to communicate and deal across all types of people, subcontractors, and levels of seniority from the workplace up to the Senior Management level and Main Contractor / Client level
.

•Strong working knowledge of contract documents, construction practices and techniques

•Ability to interpret and make calculations based on drawings
.

•Sound IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel.

• Methodical way of thinking

• Excellent knowledge in construction
.

• Excellent problem solving skills
.

• Good financial and numeracy management skills
.

• Excellent communication and negotiating skills
.

• The ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily
.

• A clear understanding of HSE building regulations and legal guidelines.
