The role of the editor at Quest, is that of an integrator that works with people across teams. Largely the role looks at anchoring knowledge aggregation and dissemination across channels internally and externally. The Editor would be working as a part of the Hub team at Quest, which looks at knowledge, innovation and advocacy across the organisation.
This role will give you the opportunity to bring in various aspects of knowledge - research, data analysis, documenting stories as well as generating insights. Given the diverse scope of the Hub, the role is multidimensional and covers the following aspects
Role and responsibilities
Managing the Blog
Anchor the content creation as well as management of the blog. This would include working with the internal team as well as engaging with the externals through interviews and interactions for content creation and updation. The content can include text, videos, podcasts etc.
Capturing Knowledge at Quest
Support the senior leadership in their thought leadership would include spending time with key people in the organisation for interviews, supporting them in writing their pieces, consolidating research and studies being conducted. These could then be hosted on the blog as well as feed into the annual publication.
Annual Publication
Anchor the end to end process of developing the annual publication which would include the process of content conceptualisation to development along with the team at Quest. This could include planning for the next issue, engaging with people within and outside of Quest to capture information relevant to the theme you plan for. Working with the designer closely and manage the relationship.
Brand Building
Work closely with the communications team to ensure that relevant insights and stories are being disseminated across channels. This might include contributing to the website and social media on need basis and interfacing the team on Media and PR engagement.
Advocacy
Contribute to the advocacy agenda by consolidating relevant content, data as well as secondary and primary research.
Eligibility
We are looking for a person who is brings in multiple perspectives to the functioning of this team and is comfortable in working across disciplines like program design, research, communications and advocacy. Someone with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Experience in research, assessment and evaluation, and policy preferably in the education and employability sector would be a bonus. Since we work across the country proficiency in Hindi and/or other regional languages is preferred.
