The Energy Manager will adopt consultative sales approach in pitching energy optimisation solutions lowering a company’s (customer) energy use and enhancing energy efficiency by directing various initiatives and projects. This may involve collaborating with energy solution team of own organisation and energy team of customers, presenting energy solution offerings to customers, following and negotiating proposals with customer decision makers and support in securing energy solution orders What you will do: Responsible for: Key Accountability 1 : Functional Identify energy business opportunities by identifying market trends, prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analysing solution options.Establish network with customer stake holders, regulating authorities, ESCOs, solution/product providers to assess Market Potential and provide an analytical feedback to Management to develop strategy and grow market share of Energy Business.Provide consultation to clients on topics of energy efficiency, energy optimization, energy modelling, data logging, energy management control systems, sustainable design, and energy audits.Build long-term partnering relationships with the owner and their representatives responsible for the decision-making process to drive the sales.Lead comprehensive energy management programs across multiple facilities or business units Conduct energy audits, system analyses, and benchmarking to identify major energy-saving opportunities Actively listen, probe and identify concerns. Understand the customers’ needs. Demonstrate technical expertise to develop credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment Key Accountability 2 : People-Team Management: Leading and managing a team of Energy Engineers and Energy Auditors to ensure timely submissions of offers and tender documents.Providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure a high level of productivity, effectiveness, and professionalism.Ensure team have the skills, capabilities, and support to do their roles effectively. Develop staff development programs such as skills enhancement trainings.Conduct direct report performance appraisals in a timely, fair and constructive manner in order to promote their personal and career growth.Coordinate with the senior management on work issues.Liaising with Client to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction.Key Accountability 3 : Process Advise on improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of M&V processes.Stay current on emerging M&V technologies, software tools, and industry best practices.Ensure compliance with all applicable energy regulations, standards, and certifications (e.g., ASHRAE, ISO 50001, LEED)Adhere to company processes, compliances and policies, with zero tolerance, while executing professional responsibilities Key Accountability 4 : Sustainability, Quality & HSEUnderstand customer sustainability objectives, provide guidance on solutions, and address technical inquiries.Stay at the forefront of industry trends, evolving technologies, and regulatory developments in the sustainability sector.Developing and implementing initiatives to improve service efficiency, reduce waste, and promote sustainability within the facilities. This may involve implementing recycling programs etc.Ensuring compliance with local, and internal regulations and best practice related to facility operations (technical), safety, and environmental standards. Implementing safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any potential hazards or non-compliance issues.Demonstrate commitment and Leadership to ensure that all HSE Policies and Procedures are fully implemented throughout the areas of responsibility and are compliant to all relevant legal, regulatory, or contractual requirements pertaining to HSE.Job Context Comply with and use of organisational procedures and policies governing Operations procurement strictly accordance with the DOA limits.What equips you for the role: Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) credential required from a recognized body (e.g., Association of Energy Engineers)Bachelors degree in Energy Management, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.knowledge of HVAC, lighting, building automation, industrial energy systems, and renewable technologies and proficiency with energy analysis tools.Experience in energy management, project evaluation, or related activities.Familiarity with sustainability standards and certifications (e.g., LEED, ISO 50001)8 - 10 years of progressive experience in energy management, energy solution, sustainability, performance contracting and retrofit industry.Required skills to be successful: Job-Specific Skills: Working knowledge of IPMVP and other M&V standards.Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting tools.Understanding of energy systems, building operations, and energy conservation technologies.Experience with building automation systems (BAS), metering, and data acquisition.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication and teamwork abilities Professional Knowledge Communication and Presentations Teamwork Training and Coaching Personal Leadership About Al-Futtaim Engineering & Technologies Al-Futtaim Engineering & Technologies offers customers complete engineering and systems integration solutions.The Engineering arm operates in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt providing a wide variety of products and services from air conditioning, scaffolding and access solutions, elevators and escalators, control and life safety, facilities management, building products, MEP, Energy Management, Technology Infrastructure and Digital Transformation.The Technologies division provides complete business solutions to large, medium and small customers that include, contact centre solutions, business applications, business intelligence, data management, advanced analytics amongst others.
