Regional Propolsa Lead Engineer_-Central
Description
The primary purpose of the job is to manage proposals in collaboration with the Regional Sales and proposals team to deliver proposals on time and meet customer expectations. Lead the entire cycle from receiving the RFQ from the Sales Team to closing all technical points.This role reports to the MSOL Proposal Manager and collaborates with key stakeholders to respond effectively to quote requests.Responsibilities include: Serving as the main point of contact for regional sales in leading quality and timely project proposals.Leading and advising on RFQs and proposal generation with the Pune-based Proposals team, including prioritization and strategy development with regional sales.Driving and owning critical regional metrics in coordination with the MSOL Project Proposal Manager, such as report preparation, proposal quality, and order closure.Collaborating with the sales team, BDMs, and Product team on RFQs, including review, strategy, and prioritization.Developing and owning strategies for product selection in collaboration with BDM, PG, and Sales Team.Working closely with the Emerson MIPC proposals team to ensure offers are customer-focused, competitively priced, and submitted on time.Leading RFQ commercial reviews, including BNB preparation and proposal strategy.Managing RFQ prioritization and critical issue processes.Overseeing commercial aspects of TQs, ensuring timely and collaborative coordination.Aligning commercial aspects across other Business Units with MSOL proposals.Participating in proposal development, utilizing historical data on pricing.Updating CRM with Win/Lost/Cancelled status for the region.Gaining knowledge of key customer standards and ensuring proposals meet these standards.Collaborating with sourcing teams to develop local suppliers and prequalify RFQ requests.Performing other duties as required.Who are you?You view technology and innovation as vital to addressing significant global challenges.You are proactive in developing and enhancing your professional skills.You are motivated and effective in quick, decisive actions.You have experience working with remote teams.Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, preferably Electronics or Instrumentation.Experience in proposals within the instrumentation control industry.Experience with EPC and regional transactions is advantageous.Strong problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CRM software.Experience with Oracle software.Our Culture & Commitment: At Emerson, we value a workplace where employees are respected, valued, and empowered.
