Job details
We are seeking an additional manager for our small, but growing team to assist in administrative oversight, student life, financial payments and planning. As Sijal enters an exciting new period of growth, the Administrative Coordinator will play a crucial role in the continued success of our students, teachers and staff.
Breakdown of Job Responsibilities: 70% administrative; 30% event and program management
Administrative Tasks (General)
- Manages Sijal official email inbox and responsible for responding to inquiries in a timely manner
- Schedule lessons and student events including private lessons, makeup classes, placements tests, and lectures
- Maintain Sijal spaces calendar
- Prepare academic transcripts, acceptance and rejection letters, enrollment letters
- Responsible for overseeing the general upkeep, maintenance and stocking of Sijal spaces
- Order textbooks, office supplies, paper goods
- Answer phone calls, receive visitors
- Assist with student life including visa extensions, scholarship and work study questions
- Assist with website maintenance, including uploading registration forms, payment forms, and other forms as needed
- Update student rosters
Administrative Tasks (Financial)
- Manage payments, including Tuition & Fees; Hourly Teacher & Staff Disbursements; Petty Cash Fund; Contractor & Supplier Payments
- Serve as main point of contact for all communication regarding payments
Internal Event Management
- Manage promotion of Sijal cultural events, including the production of Weekly Cultural Calendar
- Assist with database maintenance
Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Fluent in Arabic and English
- Past bookkeeping experience
- Prior responsibility managing projects
- Comfortable interacting with students in a friendly, relaxed manner
- Minimum Bachelor's degree
