Job Title: Backend / Full Stack Developer (Ruby on Rails + Angular)

Location: Near Thokar Niaz Beg, Lahore

Position Overview

We're looking for a proactive and technically strong Ruby on Rails developer who can work across the full stack (backend + Angular frontend) to enhance and scale the Well Wink platform.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in new feature development, system integrations (Direct Trust, EHR APIs), and performance optimization of our core application.

You'll collaborate with product architects, UI engineers, and QA teams to design, develop, and deploy secure, high-quality healthcare software.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services using

Ruby on Rails (API-driven architecture)

.

Contribute to front-end features in

Angular

, Bootstrap, and CSS as needed.

Implement and integrate

Direct Trust / HISP

secure messaging for interoperability with external EHRs.

Participate in design and development of

REST APIs

, CCD/FHIR data handling, and secure data exchange modules.

Optimize database queries, caching, and background jobs (Sidekiq / Active Job).

Collaborate with Dev Ops to improve deployment pipelines, monitoring, and error tracking.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices (RSpec/Minitest, Rubo Cop).

Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.

Ensure

HIPAA-compliant

data security, encryption, and audit logging across application layers.

Contribute ideas and feedback on system scalability, usability, and performance.

Required Skills and Experience

2–3 years of professional experience

in Ruby on Rails development (API + MVC).

Strong command over

Postgre SQL

and query optimization.

Hands-on experience with

REST APIs

, JSON data exchange, and 3rd-party API integration.

Familiarity with

Angular

or another modern front-end framework (React/Vue).

Knowledge of

Redis

,

Sidekiq

, and background job scheduling.

Experience using

Git

,

Capistrano

, and Linux-based deployment environments.

Solid understanding of

secure application design

, authentication (JWT/Devise), and role-based access control.

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with an analytical approach.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred / Plus Skills

Experience working on healthcare software (EHR, EMR, or interoperability).

Familiarity with

FHIR / HL7 / CCD data structures

Prior work on
