The faculty member shall be responsible for teaching, assessing student learning outcomes, maintain up to date knowledge in teaching field, continue professional development, utilize technology, be actively involved in research, maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics, assist in curriculum development and review, serve on college committees and participate in Governance, accreditation, student activities and assuming any other responsibility assigned by the Dean.
Responsibilities:
• Faculty members must demonstrate expertise in the practice of teaching while also being able to engage with students potentially across and through a range of disciplinary ;
• The Associate/Assistant Professor will be expected to teach undergraduate courses. The teaching load will be according to the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research (MOHESR) ;
• The faculty member will hold regular office hours, and participate in extracurricular and administrative activities on a regular basis (, critiques, review panels, thesis supervision, independent study, advising, CFD committees, etc.).
• Faculty members will also be placed in rotating leadership roles that may include chairing committees and task forces. The Associate/Assistant Professor is expected to engage with current professional, scholarly and creative practices as appropriate to their appointed ;
• Faculty members will be expected to involve students in collaborative research projects
• Be enthusiastic to collaborate with industry to professionally engage students in and out of the ;
• Co-ordinate in organizing fashion shows, activities for students and promote college programs.
• Accommodate ad-hoc requests from the President/other departments
Minimum Qualifications:
• Doctoral degree (PhD) in related fields
• Strong commitment to undergraduate education and present evidence to excellent ;
• Evidence of successful college/university teaching experiences of at least five years in related areas
• A willingness to collaborate with both students and faculty to become involved in college administrative services is ;
• CFD values diverse academic styles and philosophies and strives to further diversify its faculty to enhance the student ;
• Preference will be given to candidates offering a diverse set of experience and educational backgrounds while also aligning with the college's academic ;
• Commitment to the use of technology in the teaching-learning ;
• Be professionally active in fashion community and be an industry experience ;
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and supervise students in practicums, field trips and ;
• Conduct significant research leading to high quality referred publications
• Be involved in executive education & professional certificate programs
