We were part of Y Combinator in 2021 and raised a $2M seed round shortly after. About the Role Bree is on a mission to build the most reliable and forward-thinking engineering team. Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of modern backend systems and testing practices, and takes pride in building automated systems that keep development fast, stable, and scalable. What You'll Do Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for a Lambda-based backend that powers both internal services and React Native mobile applications. Expand and improve test coverage across backend APIs and mobile frontends to ensure reliable, high-quality releases. Implement automated regression, integration, and performance testing to catch issues early and maintain consistent delivery standards. Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance observability, build fault-tolerant testing strategies, and validate system performance under varying load conditions. What You'll Need Proficiency with Type Script for building automated test suites and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with backend testing frameworks such as Jest and Testing Library, and React Native testing frameworks such as React Native Testing Library and Detox. Experience testing serverless backend systems such as AWS Lambda and SQS. Strong understanding of API validation, integration testing, and performance benchmarking for distributed systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and engineering best practices.
