Overview: This role is to support the delivery of specialist process safety, risk management and HSE management system services to clients for operational assets and also during projects execution – greenfield and brownfield. This position will provide support for work to be performed across the Middle East region. The role will focus on clients in UAE and KSA but may also involve support to projects elsewhere around the Middle East. Our safety services are intended to provide optimized means for clients to achieve their corporate policies and to reduce/eliminate failures impacting on safety, environment and production. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 6-8 years' experience, an engineering degree, is self-motivated, and willing to be an integral part of the team. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of tasks, primarily in an office environment, but should expect to travel to client sites on occasion.Responsibilities: Support workshops and conducting qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including HAZOP, PHA, HAZID, SIL, PHSER and bow-tie assessment, as well as physical effects modeling and frequency analysis Developing risk assessment studies, including QRA, FRA, FERA, EERA, ESSA, F&G Mapping, etc.Developing and coordinating production of HSE Cases Performing Health, Safety, Environmental Impact assessments (HSEIA)Handling Consequence modeling software (DNV PHAST).Design Requirements for Safety Systems, Flare & Vent Study ,Hazardous Area Classification & knowledge of SIL study ( desirable but not must)Preparation of Loss Prevention & Safety Philosophies, Contribute to development of Functional Design Specification.Active /Passive Fire Protection Design, including Fire Water system design.Escape Route & Safety Equipment Layouts.Ability to identify and raise suite of project procedures & deliverables.Ensure technical compliance and suitability of equipment by P&ID review and Vendor document review as applicable for any Risk & Safety studies.To Determine the Major Accident Hazard events and to apply a formalized approach of hazard management to identify and provide means of mitigation and reduction of such hazards.Preparation of man-day estimates for proposals and tenders for Quantitative Risk Assessments, Meeting with clients to understand the scope of work in the project, Submitting data request forms for collection of data and document reviews forthe projects Conducting the required site visits QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Degree in science/engineering-based discipline.6-8 years of relevant experience Experience using PHAST/SAFETI software Working knowledge of ADNOC and/or ARAMCO, QE, PDO, KOC standards and relevant international standards Experience working in the oil and gas, petrochemical and/or power generations industries.Experience with a consultancy company would be an advantage.
