At-Tamimi International Islamic School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) candidate school offering the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum as well. We are currently looking for a Bahasa Melayu Teacher to join our growing team. Applicants should be devoted to the ever-evolving field of education and are interested in pursuing a career in the educational field. As we are an English medium school, written and spoken fluency in English is a must as well.

REQUIRED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University required (preferably with a major in Language/Linguistic Studies). Equivalencies will be considered.

• Must be familiar with both UPSR and IGSCE programme requirements

• Highly motivational and supportive nature

• Able to combine between practical and theoretical teaching methods

• Has the capacity to create a curriculum if needed

• Calm and professional demeanor

• Ability to effectively communicate with parents when required

• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare lesson plans in accordance with Ministry of Education requirements 

• Prepare and administer formative and summative assessments based on lessons and units

• Actively engage students while providing both theoretical and practical learning methods

• Supervise, monitor, and mentor students during lessons and outside of class during operating hours

Successful candidate should be able to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the subject area(s) assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth, as well as enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience.
