To procure and retain clients on behalf of the hotel according to the business's sales and marketing strategies, market segments and geographical zones, and to achieve or exceed sales and revenues budgets.


Key Duties And Accountabilities

Achieve budget targets that are linked to revenue contribution to the hotel.

Achieve identified direct sales, tele-sales, direct mail, promotions and e-commerce initiative targets.

Develop key accounts and target accounts within identified market segments.

Understands the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.

Closes the best opportunities for the location based on market conditions and location needs.

Gains understanding of the location's primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution.

Conduct familiarization and entertainment activities on behalf of the hotel for prospective and current client accounts.

Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.

Liaise with hotel reservations department and monitor productivity of own accounts ie: room night production, cancellations, no shows, lost business, leakage.

Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (, generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).

Conduct quarterly reviews of own accounts, identify new business opportunities and represent the hotel on all matters relating to the servicing of the accounts.

Attend designated trade shows and industry forums on behalf of the hotel.

Complete all assigned projects and reports within designated timeframes.

Ensure that all personal accountabilities and deadlines set in the Business Plan are met or exceeded.

Supports the company's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

Provides excellent customer service consistent with the daily service basics of the Company.

Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.

Maintain a professional and organized work environment.

Reports, presentations and other administrative duties are accurate and of a consistently high standard.

Report the any suspicious behaviors, circumstances, incident or accident.

Handle sensitive issues with employees and/or guests with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality.

Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.

Additional Responsibilities

Provides information to immediate manager, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

Brings issues to the attention of the department manager and Human Resources as necessary.

Attends and participates in all pertinent meetings.

Education, Experience & Competencies

Bachelor Degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major;

Previous experience within a hotel sales environment or reservation in an internationally recognized hotel chain for at least 2 years within the UAE market.

Track record of achieving sales targets.

Existing corporate accounts in the UAE market.

Competent Word, Excel, PowerPoint and software packages

High proficiency in English language oral and written skills

Highly organized, able to coordinate the efforts of others and manage multiple assignments and projects.

Knowledge of hotel PMS (Opera) and other industry related software programs.

Holding valid UAE Driving License.

Ability to lead presentations, conduct effective negotiations and close deals.
