DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for phlebotomy (adult and pediatric), including the collection of various laboratory samples as required.Perform Biochemistry, Hematology, Clinical Pathology, Microbiology, Serology, and other tests on patient specimens according to laboratory SOPs. Validate and reconfirm results if necessary, including abnormal and critical results.Notify the patient care unit or physician of critical test results promptly. Interact professionally with department members, physicians, staff, administration, and the Director of Clinical Laboratory and Pathology for daily operations.Record and maintain laboratory and patient data, assist in preparing lab statistics, and oversee daily/monthly quality controls and calibrations after verification.Implement and follow quality assurance programs for laboratory sub-departments, including internal and external quality checks.Use and maintain laboratory equipment properly, including daily checks, routine maintenance, and record-keeping.Perform basic blood bank procedures, including daily quality assurance and record maintenance.Follow laboratory safety protocols and infection control practices, including the use of PPE and adherence to approved procedures to prevent or contain adverse incidents.Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional standards during duties.Participate in continuous medical education and training programs.Adhere to international guidelines, DHA regulations, EIAC/ISO15189: 2012 standards, and Joint Commission International norms in patient care and professional duties.As Laboratory Safety Officer, ensure lab safety policies are known and followed, including fire, blood spill, and chemical spill procedures. Ensure PPE supply and proper usage, incident reporting, spill management, equipment safety checks, and maintenance of safe and contaminated areas. Promote hand hygiene and vaccination among staff.Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology Minimum of two (2) years of medical laboratory experience Current licensure in the country of origin and DHA license to practice in Dubai, UAEFluent in spoken and written English; knowledge of Arabic is desirable but not essential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
