About the Role The Sales Assistant at GMG will be responsible for promoting products and services to customers, aiming to maximize sales opportunities and provide exceptional service. Core Responsibilities: Describe product features and benefits; demonstrate the use and handling of products. Educate clients on brand quality standards and specifications. Advise customers on product ranges best suited to their needs; answer queries to assist in purchase decisions. Provide information on warranties, features, specifications, maintenance, and care of products. Ensure customer needs are met, resolve or escalate complaints, and maintain high standards of customer service. Stay informed about new product launches, promotional events, and sales. Achieve sales targets through effective sales techniques, up-selling, and cross-selling. Ensure promotions and pricing are accurate and compliant with company policies. Calculate sale prices and discounts; maintain sales records. Handle cash, change, and credit payments; generate invoices and receipts. Operate as a cashier with accuracy in money handling (if applicable). Follow store after-sales processes and adhere to repair/return policies. Follow loss prevention, inventory controls, and operational procedures. Assist in store merchandising, including product placement and arrangement. Maintain high standards of store cleanliness and grooming etiquette. Self-Management: Set performance goals at the beginning of the year in consultation with the manager and work towards achieving them. Take ownership of personal development by identifying learning needs and creating a development plan beyond formal training.
