Location Category QA / QC Senior Job Type Full-time Working Days Job Description The Senior Material Engineer will be responsible for selecting, testing, and managing construction materials to ensure the safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness of the projects. Duties and Responsibilities Source and evaluate construction materials, with expertise in materials properties and experience with park structures. Select and specify appropriate materials such as concrete, steel, aggregates, furniture, and equipment. Evaluate material performance under various environmental conditions to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards. Conduct tests (compression, tensile, durability, chemical) to validate material quality. Ensure all materials meet standards like ASTM, BS, and ISO. Coordinate with testing agencies for validation and certification. Assess and approve suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery. Monitor material delivery schedules and address supply chain issues. Perform site inspections for proper handling and storage of materials. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Material Science, or related field with attested certificate. At least 10 years of experience in large-scale construction projects as a Material Engineer. Proficiency in material testing procedures and standards. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
