We’ve got what you’re looking for. Job Description: Parsons is seeking a talented Principal Engineer (Water and Wastewater) to join our team. In this role, you will handle complex engineering tasks related to water and wastewater projects. What You'll Be Doing: Perform engineering and design assignments applying advanced principles and theories from civil engineering studies and available data. Independently prepare and supervise engineering computations, material takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs. Prepare detailed requisitions for materials, services, and subcontracts. Review supplier drawings and technical bid analyses. Supervise the preparation and issuance of specifications, data sheets, and construction documents. Provide input to CAD designers/drafters. Use 3D software and model creation for CAD tasks. Perform other relevant responsibilities as needed. Lead a team of design engineers, hydraulic modelers, and draftsmen in designing wastewater collection, conveyance, and disposal systems. Proven experience managing small to medium design teams and developing hydraulic models using Bentley Sewer CAD/Sewer Gems, Info SWMM, and Infoworks CS. Familiar with load demand calculations for large developments and projects. Knowledge of regulations from authorities like DEWA, ADDC/ADWEA, DM, ADM, DCD, and ADCD within the Gulf region. Experience in designing centralized and decentralized wastewater systems, including treatment plants, sewerage, pumping, sludge, and effluent management. Experience creating utility cross sections per local authority requirements in the Gulf, such as DMT (Abu Dhabi). Prepare technical specifications and design reports. Knowledge of British and American codes and regional regulations for wastewater system design. Liaise with service providers for NOCs and design approvals. Required Skills and Qualifications: 4-year Civil Engineering degree, master's in water-related discipline, with 15-20 years of relevant experience, including minimum 5 years in UAE/GCC. Professional qualifications (PE, CIWEM, ICE) preferred.
