Resident Engineer - Infrastructure

Parsons is seeking a talented Resident Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will plan, schedule, supervise, and exercise administrative authority over all field engineering work. What You'll Be Doing: Act as the Engineer with delegated authority, responsible to the Employer during construction. Communicate directly with the Contractor. Observe and inspect the Contractor’s construction activities. Issue orders to correct non-compliant activities, work, materials, and equipment. Direct, assist, and monitor the construction supervision team, including site engineers, work inspectors, and surveyors. Provide assistance and advice to the Employer regarding variations, adjustments, and financial matters. Recommend payments, claims, and variation orders to the Employer. Advise on contractual and construction matters related to roadworks, utility diversions, traffic diversions, road furniture, and related works. Supervise, review, monitor, and report on progress of roadworks and related works. Coordinate with design engineers, contractors, clients/PMC, and authorities. Ensure safety goals are achieved and oversee safety procedures. Report accidents or near misses and review HSE reports. Participate in health and safety compliance. Lead regular site meetings. Manage correspondence, approvals, and records. Report to SRE/CM or Project Manager as needed. Participate in contract administration. Perform other responsibilities as required. Required Skills: BSc in Engineering (MSc preferred). Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure works, especially roads and utilities. Experience supervising major road and infrastructure projects, preferably in the Gulf region. Chartered Engineer or PE registration preferred. Arabic language proficiency. Desired Skills: Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Statistical Quality Control. Understanding of contractual relationships.
