Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Components Repair Engineer Date: 6 May 2025 Location: Sharjah, AE Country: AE To plan and organize end-to-end processes of unserviceable components, from receipt to disposition, ensuring timely and cost-efficient support to aircraft operations. Responsible for effective administration of components' lifecycle costs through technical due diligence, shop reviews, and cost reduction opportunities. Conducts supplier performance reviews to ensure effective communication and expectations management, controlling the component lifecycle for optimal utilization. Leads and manages Total Component Support (TCS), logistics, expediting, and repair teams to enhance time and cost efficiency in component pool and repair cycle management. Plans, organizes, and leads the component repair management team across the entire supply chain for rotables. Structures reporting lines to optimize efficiency and clarity among team members. Develops KPIs to clarify roles, challenge performance, and achieve cost efficiencies aligned with departmental objectives. Monitors service levels of PBH contractors, escalates SLA variances, and addresses TAT delays to improve performance and reduce costs. Coordinates with Line & Base maintenance to improve installation/removal processes, avoiding delays and penalties. Utilizes AMOS data analytics to identify trends and implement corrective actions in logistics and repair management. Collaborates with TCM team for smooth transition from TCS to TCM, reviewing SOPs for process alignment. Engages with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders for effective repair cycle management and disposition support from CAMO. Supports the assessment and onboarding of new repair service providers to expand operational capacity. Implements continuous improvement and automation initiatives in repair and component management. Administers Total Component Support contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms. Develops KPIs around repair costs, negotiating better pricing, exploring local repair options, and building in-house capabilities. Ensures contractual SLAs are met, manages over-cost claims, and acts as liaison between service providers and maintenance teams. Reviews scrap and disposition decisions, engaging suppliers and OEMs to resolve issues efficiently. Performs technical and commercial analysis of repair estimates, ensuring legitimacy and compliance with authority approvals. Negotiates warranty claims and manages disputes related to damages and warranties. Analyzes reliability data to identify trends, prevent recurrent defects, and improve component reliability. Maintains liaison with Maintenance, Planning, Technical Services, and Procurement to optimize maintenance planning and component availability. Ensures procurement activities adhere to policies and aviation regulations. Negotiates repair contracts, pricing, and turnaround times with vendors and MROs. Conducts audits of repair vendors for quality and compliance assurance. Maximizes value from surplus, slow-moving, and scrap items according to SOP. Qualifications (Academic, training, languages) Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering Work Experience Minimum 5+ years’ experience in component repair within the aviation industry Familiarity with airworthiness regulations (GCAA, FAA, EASA) is essential Proficient in AMOS and data analytics Strong technical and commercial understanding of component shop reports and estimates Experience in managing teams with heavy workloads and ad-hoc scenarios Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and quality standards Cost-conscious with problem-solving skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
