Post: Architectural Technician – 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract Position Summary The Architectural Technician will work closely under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager. The role requires a high level of independent decision-making, professionalism, and client management. The candidate is expected to assume full accountability for key responsibilities within their authority limits. The Project Architect coordinates and exercises authority over design management, including planning, organization, control, integration, and project completion. Job Responsibilities Provide design sketches, prepare budgets, meet with clients, gather project requirements, develop scope of work, specifications, cut sheets, and BOQ. Create designs that meet client specifications. Estimate budgets and timelines. Act as a liaison between the client and design team. Submit reports to update clients on project status. Plan and modify working drawing sets as needed. Monitor the design process from conception through construction administration to ensure consistency. Ensure construction documentation complies with quality standards and best practices. Attend field reviews, on-site and project meetings, and coordinate schedule reviews and sample submissions. Participate in team meetings to resolve issues and coordinate schedules. Ensure compliance with technical standards. Review calculations, estimates, plans, and reports for accuracy. Perform assignments independently, solving problems based on objectives. Oversee the preparation of technical drawings by junior architects. Manage minutes of consultant coordination meetings. Maintain project documentation and record on-site observations. Draft reports during project close-out. Qualifications and Skills Required Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. 4–6 years of experience in projects utilizing the International Building Code and ADA guidelines. Proficiency in design and drafting, including CAD. Strong organizational, project management, and planning skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. Leadership abilities and team collaboration skills. Physical ability to perform job duties, including occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Work primarily in an office environment, with potential travel to sites and stakeholder offices. Advanced technical knowledge in architecture and related fields. Proficiency in specification writing, experience with Master Spec (U.S. version). Excellent communication and customer service skills. PMP certification is an advantage. Technical skills include Auto CAD, Sketch Up, Rhino, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office. How to Apply Interested applicants should fill out the application form .
