The opportunity We have an exciting opportunity to join our EY Law practice as a Data Protection Lawyer , where you will work with high-profile organizations on diverse legal advisory projects across multiple countries, advising clients on data protection laws. Your key responsibilities As a data protection lawyer, you will manage the delivery of legal advisory projects related to data protection laws and regulations, especially the GDPR, UAE PDPL, and KSA PDPL. You may also advise on data transfer rules, hosting, data localization requirements, and deliver training and awareness programs for client employees. Skills and attributes for success We seek candidates who aim to create a distinctive legal brand, preferably with experience in established law firms in the MENA region, eager to develop their careers in a growing team establishing a new legal practice. You should have a solid understanding of data protection regulations and be able to provide expert legal advice to ensure compliance, especially with GDPR, UAE PDPL, DIFC, ADGM laws, and KSA PDPL. Qualifications & Experience At least 4 years of experience as a qualified lawyer in a reputable legal environment focusing on data protection laws. Strong understanding of data protection principles and practices. Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills. Excellent English communication, collaboration, self-management, and project management skills. Ideally, you’ll also have Fluency in Arabic, both written and spoken.
