Job Description: Senior Electrical Engineer (Design) Dubai, UAE Parsons is looking for a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will supervise the creation of electrical engineering designs for HV, MV, LV systems and networks for large infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations. Responsibilities include defining problems, establishing scope, preparing budgets and schedules, planning work, providing technical direction, and reporting on work status. What You'll Be Doing: Develop and supervise electrical engineering designs for HV, MV, LV systems and networks for large infrastructure projects, meeting quality and regulatory standards. This includes problem definition, scope establishment, budgeting, scheduling, planning, technical guidance, and reporting. Coordinate with electricity authorities such as DEWA, SEWA, Ethihad WE for approvals related to power supply, design, and related documentation. Lead projects or serve as a discipline lead on small to medium projects, providing technical guidance to team members including CAD designers and junior engineers. Perform other responsibilities as appropriate for the role. Required Skills: Minimum 10 years of relevant project or design experience in electrical engineering. Recent experience with HV, MV, and LV electrical design adhering to local and international standards. Experience with power system analysis software is an advantage. Thorough knowledge of IEC standards and local authority standards in the GCC, such as DEWA, SEWA, FEWA, Civil Defense, Etisalat, Du. Experience in master planning from concept to detailed stages, including utility corridor planning, ROW requirements, and coordination with utilities and design teams. Ability to develop master plan reports, perform demand load calculations, and understand infrastructure projects from concept to IFC stage. Desired Skills: Ability to analyze project requirements for greenfield and brownfield projects. Design knowledge of MV and LV networks, and experience preparing tender and IFC specifications. Experience preparing design reports, specifications, tender documents, and securing approvals. Ability to review other consultants' reports and prepare review reports. Experience with technical proposals, bid evaluations, and value engineering. Coordination with GCC authorities and familiarity with approval processes. Skills in technical submittal review, RFIs, and bid evaluations. Registration with DEWA as an electrical engineer and approval from DM/RTA are advantageous.
