Sales & Business Development Manager – International Fixed Connectivity Location: Dubai Department: Sales Overview We are looking to hire a Sales & Business Development Manager specializing in International Fixed Connectivity , including Subsea Cable , IPLC , and IP Transit , with a focus on Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, engaging with wholesale customers, and driving revenue growth for our international connectivity solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales leader with a strong understanding of the global wholesale telecom landscape, particularly in fixed infrastructure and subsea cable investments. This role requires expertise in deal structuring, pricing strategies, market analysis, and customer relationship management. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development: Drive the global wholesale business to capture incremental revenue from wholesale external customers and Silver Links’s internal operation customers. Build key customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, negotiate and close deals, and stay informed on market conditions and competitors. Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and deal structuring to optimize revenue and market positioning. Drive new business for international connectivity solutions across Africa and increase revenue with existing accounts. Achieve revenue targets and maintain a strong pipeline by responding to RFPs, customer quotes, and preparing business cases. Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals. Forecast sales and report on performance. Account Management & Customer Engagement: Manage customer relationships throughout the lifecycle, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships. Coordinate with technical and operational teams to ensure timely delivery of services. Monitor deal performance, gather customer feedback, and analyze market trends to refine strategies. Market & Competitive Intelligence: Assess the competitive landscape for wholesale fixed connectivity. Analyze pricing trends, market dynamics, and customer insights to inform pricing. Contribute to financial planning and KPIs for business optimization. Identify strategic partnerships to expand market reach and service offerings. Operational Efficiency & Reporting: Monitor and report sales performance, providing insights into revenue growth and deal execution. Ensure collaboration across sales, finance, technical, and legal teams. Work with technical teams to manage suppliers and assets. Set and track financial targets for wholesale revenue and market share. Key Performance Areas (KPAs) Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets. Customer Acquisition & Retention: Expand customer base and satisfaction. Market Positioning: Strengthen presence in Africa’s wholesale telecom market. Operational Efficiency: Ensure timely deal implementation and coordination. Financial Optimization: Drive profitability through smart pricing and cost management. Skills & Competencies Deep understanding of wholesale telecommunications, including Subsea Cable, IPLC, IP Transit, and fixed infrastructure. Strong business acumen, including profitability, cost models, and financial planning. Analytical, organizational, and strategic skills. Proficiency in CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and financial tools (Excel, Power BI). Ability to work in fast-paced, multicultural environments and handle multiple deals. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills, especially with C-level executives. Ambitious, self-motivated, and passionate about career growth. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related fields. 5+ years experience in wholesale telecom or enterprise sales. Experience in fixed connectivity, submarine cables, and carrier business. Strong commercial skills to identify and structure profitable opportunities. Ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally. Customer-centric mindset. Fluent in English; French is a plus. Willingness to travel internationally as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
