What are my responsibilities? Review and analysis of the tender requirements from all aspects of technical, performance, and operational needs to develop technically compliant and cost-effective CHS and BHS solutions. Define and prepare the electrical and control philosophy and associated costs for inclusion in the overall price. Develop detailed electrical proposals for CHS and BHS, including power distribution, control systems, automation, and safety systems. Evaluate and select appropriate electrical components (cabinets, drives, etc.) based on client specifications, project scope, and regulatory standards. Analyze material flow/capacity assessments, capturing the key performance & design parameters to validate the system concepts Generate the technical and commercial proposal documentation to be submitted. Prepare cost estimates for electrical equipment, installation, and testing, ensuring alignment with budget constraints. Coordinate with other engineering teams to ensure electrical designs are fully integrated into the overall material handling system. Prepare BOQs & BOMs to support the estimation function. Facilitate the development of 3D system solutions using Auto CAD, Revit, and Navisworks in coordination with the team. Value Engineering of the system design to develop cost-effective system solutions for all Bids & Proposals, including selecting OEM system components, input on pricing estimates, manpower plans, and associated phasing/scheduling activities. Write an explanation of the system function and operation for inclusion in the offer documentation. Collaborate and present to other industry experts, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on the technical aspects of the system design. Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, security, environmental, and quality standards, adhering to all relevant regulations and best practices to maintain a safe and secure work environment. What do I need to qualify for the role? Bachelor’s degree preferable in Electrical engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of Bid/Proposals/Engineering experience in Airport Material Handling Systems with priority to Cargo Handling Systems and Baggage Handling Systems. Experience in building electrical concepts for Material Handling Systems Able to demonstrate experience in reviewing/analyzing tender requirements from all aspects of technical, performance, and operational needs. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders/management. Able to develop reputation/relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
