Job details

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for meeting daily production schedules/goals within required quality standards;

· Management of production supplies;

· Train, mentor, develop, support, reward and discipline metal stamping/ press operators;

· Assist in the interviewing, selection and onboarding of associates;

· Evaluate overall efficiency, productivity and safety in department;

· Actively practice and promote company values as described;

· Assist in resolution of internal/external corrective actions;

· Implement and maintain 5S housekeeping standards;


Skills Requirements:

· Experience in Punch press and progressive dies;

· Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive work attitude;

· Ability to provide leadership in a professional manner;

· Capacity to manage resources and activities in order to obtain results;

· Ability to speak English and French;

· 1 years as a metal stamping press operator;

· 2 years as a production supervisor or production group lead in a metal stamping and/ or metal manufacturing facility is preferred.

Physical Requirements

· While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and talk or hear;

. 80% in shop floor, 20% in the office.

. Assistance in setting up dies might be required if the operator has difficulties.

Work Environment

· Metal stamping press manufacturing facility;

· Majority of time spent on production floor;

· Metal stamping press department with manual and automatic presses;

· Noise level is loud
