Overview BU: EDRC – Renewables Subject Matter Expert: Surveyor for Civil & Structural Works Reports to (Job – Role): Project Engg. Manager (PEM) – Civil & Structural Reportee (Job – Role): Engineers, D’persons Education: Diploma or Graduate in Civil Engineering Experience: 10-12 years of experience in the field of infrastructure projects Responsibilities Conduct land and building surveys to collect site data, including measurements of distances, angles, elevations, and contours. Prepare accurate and detailed survey reports, maps, and documentation. Utilize surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and levels to capture precise data. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and site teams to ensure survey data meets project requirements. Review and verify survey data for accuracy and completeness. Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for grading and other topographic requirements. Collaborate with clients to draw approvals and resolve survey-related clarifications. Provide site support to address any surveying-related queries. Optimize quantities to align with bid quantities while fulfilling client requirements. Technical Expertise Proficient in using surveying instruments and related software for data collection and processing. Experience in topographic surveys of large areas, boundary surveys, and construction staking. Ensure compliance with applicable surveying codes and standards. Experience in Renewable plants and power sector projects preferred. Exposure to international projects will be an added advantage. Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Objective Responsible for site specific SOP (Std. Operating Procedure) for performing the Surveying for the Civil & Structural works for Renewable (PV Solar, BESS, Wind) projects, Substation Projects and Utility Power Distribution Projects. Visit / camp at project sites as required and guide the project survey team in ensuring comprehensive and accurate topographical survey of the area. Assess the survey data on the accuracy levels, reference certified Benchmarks, TBMs. The Civil & Structural Works include Site Development works (Grading, Slope protection, retaining walls, Boundary walls / Fence), Electrical Buildings (GIS, Control), Utility Buildings (Administrative, Pump house, Security, Staff Quarters, Guest House, Warehouse, etc.), Substation Outdoor Structures & Foundations, PV / BESS Plant Structures and Foundations, Wind Farm Civil BOP, Infrastructure works including Plant Roads, Access Roads, Drains, Yard Paving, etc. Key Responsibilities Conduct land and building surveys to collect site data, including measurements of distances, angles, elevations, and contours.
