The E-Commerce Director is responsible for driving the global digital commerce strategy and leading the brand’s transition to a best-in-class omnichannel experience. This role will focus on building and scaling the brand’s e-commerce business — including DTC and marketplace channels — while optimizing profitability, customer engagement, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in luxury fashion or premium retail and experience managing both 3rd party platforms and internalizing e-commerce operations. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the global e-commerce strategy aligned with overall brand and commercial goals; optimize the performance and deliver profitability with 3rd party-managed platforms. Lead the transition from 3rd party-managed platforms to an in-house, fully integrated digital commerce ecosystem. Drive online revenue growth, traffic, conversion, and average order value across all digital touchpoints. Define and optimize a seamless omnichannel experience integrating retail, wholesale, and digital. Oversee UX/UI enhancements, personalization initiatives, and digital storytelling to elevate customer engagement. Work closely with CRM and marketing teams to build loyalty programs, retention strategies, and targeted campaigns. Oversee end-to-end e-commerce operations including platform development, merchandising, content, fulfillment, and logistics. Evaluate and select best-fit technology partners, platforms, and tools to support business growth. Ensure site stability, speed, and security, collaborating with IT and digital product teams. Own and manage the global e-commerce P&L, driving profitability through strategic assortment, pricing, and operational optimization. Establish clear commercial KPIs (traffic, conversion, CAC, CLV, AOV, ROAS) and track performance regularly. Implement cost-efficient strategies for logistics, returns, and customer service. Build and lead a high-performing global e-commerce team across key functions (trading, UX/UI, performance marketing, content, operations). Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, IT, Finance, and Retail to deliver integrated digital strategies. Drive a culture of innovation, data-driven decision making, and operational excellence. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce, or related field. 10+ years of experience in e-commerce leadership roles within luxury or premium retail. Proven success in scaling DTC e-commerce businesses and leading digital transformation. Strong understanding of digital platforms, performance marketing, analytics, and omnichannel retail. Experience with international markets and multi-country rollouts. Demonstrated ability to manage P&L and deliver profitable growth.
