You will collaborate with Product Managers to build products that enrich users’ lives, leveraging cross-disciplinary teams to achieve our technical and business vision. You will be responsible for delivering A-class products that scale to millions of users, applying industry trends, and guiding complex product delivery within your stream.Responsibilities Gather an up-to-date and in-depth understanding of the dubizzle platform, technologies, and industry trends Share broad knowledge of technologies and architectures and mentor within your product stream and across the Packs Collaborate with the team to deliver software of the highest standards Promote company-wide coding standards, guidelines, and best practices Provide technical leadership and mentorship by setting challenging but realistic goals and guiding the team toward successful delivery Monitor team performance and identify opportunities for growth and development Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope Create an optimal working environment and methodologies for the assigned product vertical team Impact the direction and scope of dubizzle's technical vision within your stream Shape strong cross-functional teams in line with business needs Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, Design, UX, CLM, and Strategy to deliver high-quality products Hire high-performing engineers to build strong teams Own business KPIs as a conduit to the Product team and business functions Maintain and ensure software quality within the assigned product Mentor and develop a product vertical team of front-end and back-end engineers Deliver on product vertical KPIs aligned with company objectives Be accountable for team attrition and coach individuals to grow into leaders Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent7+ years of web-based front-end and/or back-end software engineering experience Experience with high-traffic and large-scale web products Experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, XP)Technical leadership and mentorship experience Experience in analysis, design, coding and implementation of next-generation web applications in Python Proven track record for timely project delivery and project management Prior experience managing a team of 5+ developers Drive for innovation and knowledge of new and old technologies Benefits Fast-paced, high-performing team Multicultural environment with 50+ nationalities Competitive tax-free salary Comprehensive health insurance Annual air ticket allowance Employee discounts across emirates Rewards and recognitions Learning and development opportunities Equal Opportunity Bayut & dubizzle is an equal opportunity employer.
