Crane Technician
Description
Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of cranes, including overhead, gantry, jib, and mobile cranes.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.Replace worn or defective parts such as cables, pulleys, motors, brakes, and electrical components.Inspections & Testing: Conduct regular safety inspections and load tests to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.Perform pre-operational checks and functional tests to verify crane performance.Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.Respond to equipment breakdowns and service calls in a timely manner.Use diagnostic tools and schematics to identify and resolve complex issues.Work closely with the operations team to address issues and reduce equipment downtime.Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive service reports, including parts used and labor hours.Provide feedback to the management team on equipment performance and potential maintenance issues.Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working at heights or with heavy machinery.Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local regulations and international standards,Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repair: Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of cranes, including overhead, gantry, jib, and mobile cranes.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.Replace worn or defective parts such as cables, pulleys, motors, brakes, and electrical components.Inspections & Testing: Conduct regular safety inspections and load tests to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.Perform pre-operational checks and functional tests to verify crane performance.Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Respond to equipment breakdowns and service calls in a timely manner.Use diagnostic tools and schematics to identify and resolve complex issues.Work closely with the operations team to address issues and reduce equipment downtime.Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive service reports, including parts used and labor hours.Provide feedback to the management team on equipment performance and potential maintenance issues.Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working at heights or with heavy machinery.Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local regulations and international standards,Qualifications & Requirements Education: A Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Crane Technician or a similar role.Proven experience in maintaining and repairing different types of cranes.Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and crane control systems is a plus.Personal Attributes: Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Excellent communication skills.A strong commitment to safety and quality.Personal Service Technician
