Organization Arab Monetary Fund Opening Date Monday, December 23, 2024 - 12: 00Monday, June 30, 2025 - 12: 00The Arab Monetary Fund aims to onboard a Senior Data Scientist in the Capacity Development and Innovation Department, reporting to the Knowledge and Innovation Division Chief.Job Purpose The Senior Data Scientist will manage, enhance, and align database management practices with international standards. They will ensure the reliability of the Arab Monetary Fund’s economic database and the Arab Financial Markets database. Additionally, they will apply advanced statistical methodologies to analyze data, facilitate results interpretation, and develop actionable insights to support the Arab Monetary Fund's flagship reports, studies, and publications. This role is crucial in facilitating decision-making processes and supporting key organizational activities through sophisticated data analysis and interpretation.Key Accountability Areas and Activities The key activities include, but are not limited to: Understanding plans, drawings, technical specifications, and in-depth database parameters.Aligning databases with the AMF's strategic objectives and ensuring their designs meet organizational and member countries’ needs.Applying advanced statistical analysis methods to interpret complex data sets and translate raw data into actionable insights and recommendations to support decision-making and reporting.Interpreting raw data and transforming it into actionable insights, feedback, and applications that support decision-making and inform the organization's publications and activities.Using big data, machine learning, and other techniques to improve data availability and analysis.Manipulating non-relational databases to extract key economic and financial developments.Providing accurate and relevant data analyses to assist in the development of reports, studies, bulletins, and other publications.Ensuring data integrity and relevance in all published materials.Automating data transformation and manipulation to expedite processes.Recommending improvements to data processes and systems to enhance functionality and support organizational objectives based on best practices and the latest technologies and techniques in statistical analysis and database management.Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide feedback, and deliver data-driven insights.Contributing to internal and external training effectively for both technical and non-technical audiences.Qualifications and Requirements A minimum of 7 years of experience in database management, particularly in statistical or financial sectors.Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, investment management, or a related field.Master’s degree in statistics, data science, or a related field in database management or statistics.Excellent communication and writing skills in Arabic and English.
