We ask employees to be present in the office at least three days per week.Are you ready to bring the right energy to Petrofac and help us deliver a better future for everyone?JOB TITLE: PRINCIPAL ENGINEER - COST CONTROLKey Responsibilities Establish a process of information flow regarding each expense head, such as design, equipment/material procurement, logistics, mobilization, demobilization, personnel/machinery costs, subcontractor costs/claims, and other relevant costs like customs, duties, liabilities, insurance, etc.Provide project cost estimates including material, manpower, equipment, subcontractors, third-party services, and financial costs.Coordinate with project engineers to clarify any discrepancies or queries.Calculate Estimate to Complete (ETC) costs for remaining work, coordinating with different disciplines to gather ETC data.Prepare periodic reports on cost status and budget variations in consultation with the supervisor or Project Manager.Monitor costs, generate variance reports, and forward them to the supervisor or Project Manager.Assess potential variations or claims from subcontractors or vendors.Participate in project review meetings and provide cost-related data as required.Interface with project engineers and accounts for clarifications.Propose improvements and updates to cost control processes.Develop a historical cost database for future reference.Provide training and guidance to new or junior cost control personnel.Essential Qualifications and Skills Engineering degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience, including at least five years in cost control of EPC medium projects, preferably in the oil & gas field.Apply now! #J-18808-Ljbffr
