For more information, please visit our website at www.hillintl.com.General Description of Role and Responsibilities: Monitor the implementation of the HSSE Management System for the Project, ensuring compliance with Client Requirements, Hill Corporate policies, International Standards, and Industry best practices.Conduct detailed audits periodically to assess compliance with HSSE systems, procedures, and activities.Interact regularly with Contractors, Consultants, and other Stakeholders' HSSE Representatives to assess and report on site activities, HSSE issues, and performance trends.HSSE Specific: Assist in developing the project-wide HSSE strategy, including a safety incentive plan implemented by Contractors and LDC across the Project.Ensure Contractors' HSSE programs and Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP) are reviewed and approved, conforming to MODON's HSSE policy, statutory, contractual requirements, and industry best practices.Assist in developing HSSE KPIs, communicate them to MODON, LDC, and other Consultants, and review periodically to evaluate performance.Implement PMC's HSSE program to promote safety and environmental awareness, including waste management, trainings, awareness campaigns, and safety alerts.Help develop reward schemes to foster a positive safety culture and address high-risk activities or areas of substandard performance.Ensure LDC reviews of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Work Plans, and verify activities are only undertaken with approved documentation.Participate in establishing a reporting program, collect reports from Contractors, and implement audit programs to verify records.Assist in managing HSSE data and reporting in the Monthly Project Report, including performance status and system implementation to MODON.Ensure timely delivery of statutory and permit-related HSSE reports to authorities.Oversee scheduled inspections, audits, and issuance of HSSE notices like HINs or SWNs.Ensure Emergency and Incident Response Plans are in place and First Aid Facilities are available on-site.Maintain oversight of incident management and investigations, including independent investigations if needed.Coordinate HSSE forums, training, awareness campaigns, and safety alerts with the Construction Supervisor and MODON.Additional Responsibilities: Coordinate with third-party developers for HSSE activities.Oversee HSSE management of project offices, including fire safety training, drills, inspections, and first aid readiness.Manage HSSE logistics such as security, traffic, deliveries, and laydown areas.Ensure environmental monitoring is conducted, recorded, and reported appropriately.Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills: Minimum 15 years' experience in the health and safety field.Strong technical/engineering knowledge.Proficiency in English and MS Office.Good understanding of local HSE regulations and procedures as per Abu Dhabi laws.At least 3 years' relevant experience as an Engineer with an EHS-related master's degree, or At least 4 years' relevant experience as an Engineer with an EHS-related bachelor's degree, or NEBOSH Diploma, or At least 5 years' relevant experience with a Post-Secondary EHS Qualification (NVQ level 4/5).Practitioners should hold OSHAD-OSHMS Practitioner A Grade or B and lead auditor qualifications for ISO 14001, 18001, & 45001 standards. #J-18808-Ljbffr
