Senior Engineer, I-C Maintenance (DCS)

The jobholder is responsible for providing expertise in Instrumentation & Control Engineering to ensure the operational condition of all relevant equipment, supporting Borouge’s operations and systems in line with original equipment manufacturer’s user guides, engineering standards, and relevant ADNOC and international standards.This role involves analyzing operational issues, suggesting design changes, configuring and implementing DCS modifications related to logic, graphics, hardware, and system interfaces to ensure safe plant operation. The role also includes maintaining backups for DCS systems, monitoring and improving system performance, and planning for obsolescence, upgrades, and migrations. Additionally, the engineer will design and implement improvements in ICS systems, support mega projects, and coordinate with external vendors and project teams.Key Accountabilities Operation Support Analyze operational issues, investigate plant events, and identify system improvements.Monitor and troubleshoot system interfaces like ESD, F&G, analyzers, IPCS, NMR, TIBCO, LIMS, Batch Tracking, SAP, and Historian.Assist in root cause analysis and design logic solutions for plant disturbances.Organize alarm data to support KPI measurement.Provide 24/7 support to ensure continuous plant operations.Maintenance Planning and System Improvements Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in DCS hardware and software.Upgrade and replace obsolete hardware and software with minimal operational disturbance.Perform system backups and restores during failures.Implement logic, graphic, hardware, and interface modifications to maintain system reliability.Ensure system security through regular updates and patches.Manage support contracts and coordinate with vendors for timely support.Coordinate routine maintenance activities and procurement processes.Reliability Support Maintain system security from external threats.Review system logs and troubleshoot issues.Ensure projects follow standards and perform obsolescence planning.Project Coordination Support other engineers and coordinate with external teams for plant modifications.Participate in design workshops and testing.Process Control Assist in process control modifications and troubleshooting.Support operation in fixing automation software issues.Cyber Compliance and Modernization Implement cyber security procedures and modernize OT/ICSS systems.Adopt new technologies like Cloud, Edge hardware, and virtualization.Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field.Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAP.Fluent in English, both written and oral.8-12 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control for large plants, preferably in Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals.Hands-on experience with installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of automation systems.Knowledge of Honeywell DCS, application logic development, and network configurations.Attention to detail, analytical skills, and troubleshooting capability.Experience with SAP documentation and professional certifications like ISA or TUV are advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
