Join or sign in to find your next job Join to apply for the Materials and Corrosion Engineer role at Penspen.Location: Abu Dhabi We are looking for Corrosion Engineers with 10 years of experience to be based in Abu Dhabi.Main Purpose of Role Technical – carry out assigned asset integrity consultancy work, such as researching problems, engineering calculations, preparation of reports, etc., with minimal supervision. Provide technical support to graduate engineers as required.Project execution – execute scope requirements within projects as directed by Project Manager and in accordance with all relevant company procedures.Responsibilities Audit existing corrosion monitoring systems for Oil, Gas, and Water streams; report their functionality and locations.Review site monitoring reports and issue reports for required actions for non-conforming locations.Optimize and streamline corrosion monitoring for different processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.Review corrosion management performance and prepare reports.Propose and report on updated corrosion monitoring techniques.Audit water injection system performance and report corrective actions regarding corrosion and water quality.Ensure corrosion monitoring fits into the general design and safety plans.Provide assurance that assets are prepared for online and intrusive corrosion monitoring.Review new project corrosion monitoring plans and recommend improvements.Review existing and future corrosion monitoring facilities.Gather and report corrosion control data for KPI reporting across ADNOC-OFFSHORE sites.Maintain records of corrosion monitoring locations and methods, including details about systems, locations, isometrics, and orientations.Ensure scheduled maintenance and record data accordingly.Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) studies on corrosion-related failures and damages.Use corrosion modelling software (e.g., Electronic Corrosion Engineer - ECE-5) or equivalent for corrosion rate calculations.Review chemical treatment requirements and suggest improvements.Review mechanical pigging requirements, conduct detailed studies, and recommend integrity improvements.Address preservation and mothballing requirements.Perform RCA assessments for corrosion damage and failures.Implement safety, health, and environmental management systems as per standards.Knowledge / Experience (Skills)Knowledge of materials behavior and corrosion analysis.Experience in materials selection for Oil and Gas assets.Proficiency with industry software for corrosion rate analysis.Extensive experience in pipeline integrity assessments based on standards (e.g., DNVGL-RP-F101, ASME B31G, ISO 12747).Familiarity with inspection data review (DCVG, CIP’s, ILI).Experience conducting pipeline FFS and life extension studies.Knowledge of engineering deliverables for greenfield development (conceptual, FEED, detailed engineering).Understanding of CP systems performance and design.Knowledge of relevant FFS codes and standards (API 579, ASME B31G, etc.).High computer literacy (MS Office, Corrdata, Math CAD, Abaqus, Caesar, Autopipe, etc.).Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.Qualifications Minimum 10 years of discipline engineering experience in Oil and Gas.Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or related field; Master’s preferred.NACE accreditation is required.Membership in an engineering institute (NACE or MICorr).If interested, please apply via the following link: Apply here. #J-18808-Ljbffr
