We are currently seeking a qualified and passionate full-time Clinical Assistant Professorof Pharmacy Practice to join the Department of Pharmacy Practice, College of Pharmacy,Gulf Medical University.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical Services and precepting: Participate in and initiate clinical services with anaffiliated hospital parallel to precepting GMU and external students. Deliver Lectures and Seminars: Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courseswhich are relevant to Pharmacy Practice/ Clinical Pharmacy Course Design: Develop and update course syllabi, learning materials, andassessment tools. Student Mentorship: Advise and mentor students academically and professionally,including supervising scholarly activities Conduct Research: Engage in original research in Pharmacy Practice/ Clinical Pharmacy Publish Work: Publish articles in peer-reviewed journals, contribute to books oracademic conferences. Grant Writing: Apply for research grants and funding from academic, governmental,or private organizations. Collaborative Research: Work with colleagues, healthcare institutions, orpolicymakers on joint research projects. Departmental Duties: Serve on departmental, college, or university committees(e.g., curriculum committee, assessment committee). Community Engagement: Collaborate with local healthcare organizations orgovernment bodies on initiatives that benefit public health. Professional Development: Stay updated with changes in the healthcare sectorand in educational best practices. Leadership Roles: May take on leadership roles such as program coordinator,committee chair, or academic advisor. Supervise Graduate Students: Guide students in their research and careerdevelopment. Field Placement Support: Assist students with internships or fieldwork placementsin healthcare organizations. Program Review: Contribute to the accreditation processes and quality assurance ofacademic programs. Assessment: Participate in student learning outcomes assessment and programevaluation activities.QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE1. Ph D in Clinical Pharmacy/ Pharmacy Practice AND Board certification/ Clinical Fellowship/ Residency (PGYI)OR1. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) Degree from an ACPE-accredited program or anequivalent recognized institution.2. Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY-1) Pharmacy Residency Training.3. Postgraduate Year 2 (PGY-2) Pharmacy Residency Training.4. A minimum of one year of post-Pharm.D. experience in a clinical or academic setting.OR1. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) Degree from an ACPE-accredited program or anequivalent recognized institution.2. Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY-1) Pharmacy Residency Training.3. A two-year Clinical Fellowship.OR1. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) Degree from an ACPE-accredited program or anequivalent recognized institution.2. Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY-1) Pharmacy Residency Training.3. An active publication record4.
