Objective To ensure the structural rectification work complies with approved engineering designs, applicable codes, and quality standards through systematic quality inspection and testing services during the execution phase.2. Scope Overview The service provider shall carry out quality inspection and material testing services for all phases of the ongoing structural rectification works. This includes, but is not limited to, the verification of construction practices, material quality, workmanship, and adherence to specifications and safety standards.3. Key Responsibilities3.1. Inspection Services Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.Check proper implementation of repair methodologies (e.g., crack injection, jacketing, fiber-reinforced polymers, etc.).Monitor structural component alignment, formwork, rebar placement, anchorage, and embedment's.Inspect surface preparation, curing processes, and protection works.3.2. Testing Services Concrete strength testing (core sampling, rebound hammer, ultrasonic pulse velocity, etc.).Steel tensile and bend tests.Non-destructive testing (NDT) as required (e.g., ground-penetrating radar, dye penetrant test).Chemical analysis (e.g., chloride, carbonation depth, p H level, sulfate content).Pull-out/pull-off tests for anchors and repair materials.3.3. Documentation & Reporting Maintain records of test results, corrective actions, and verification processes.Final quality assurance report upon completion of rectification works.3.4. Coordination Coordinate with the main contractor, structural consultant, and client for inspections and test schedules.Participate in technical meetings and review sessions.4. Applicable Standards and Codes ACI, ASTM, BS, EN, or relevant national building codes Project specifications and approved repair methodologies Occupational health and safety regulations Quality Inspection Plan (QIP)Test Certificates and Laboratory Results Final Quality Compliance Report6.
