Social Media Manager

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic Social Media Manager to lead the organic social media presence of our K–12 school group (Bridge Education). This role oversees social media strategy, content planning, and community management to build brand awareness, support student recruitment, and foster a vibrant digital community. The Social Media Manager directly manages a dedicated Content Creator and works in close collaboration with the Performance Marketing Manager to ensure cohesion between organic and paid efforts.Key Responsibilities Strategy & Content Leadership Develop and lead the group’s organic social media strategy aligned with marketing objectives and the education group’s brand vision.Own the social media content calendar across platforms, ensuring consistent storytelling and timely campaigns.Manage and mentor the Content Creator to deliver high-quality, engaging content (reels, videos, carousels, posts, stories) in line with platform trends and brand tone.Ensure integration between organic content and paid advertising by collaborating closely with the Performance Marketing Manager.Community Management Actively manage and grow online communities on Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, and other relevant platforms.Engage with audiences in a timely, professional, and brand-aligned manner, including handling queries, comments, and messages.Monitor discussions and ensure community guidelines and safeguarding policies are upheld at all times.Identify and act on opportunities to highlight positive engagement, user-generated content, and school milestones.Collaboration & Alignment Collaborate with individual school teams to source localised stories, photos, and updates that reflect school identities while supporting the group’s brand narrative.Support external communications (PR) or admissions events through appropriate social campaigns and coverage.Performance Tracking & Optimisation Analyse performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth, sentiment, etc.) and use insights to optimise future content and strategy.Stay informed on social media trends, platform updates, and education sector best practices to keep our channels fresh and relevant.Manage the social media budget where applicable and oversee tools or freelancers supporting execution.Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.3–5 years’ experience in social media management and community engagement, ideally in education, nonprofit, or youth-focused sectors.Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor junior team members.Excellent copywriting, editorial, and storytelling skills tailored to different audiences and platforms.Proficiency with social media tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social), and platform analytics.Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and brand integrity in digital environments.Desirable Experience within a multi-school or education group environment.Understanding of digital lead generation and collaboration with paid marketing functions.Familiarity with visual content production and platform-specific media formats. #J-18808-Ljbffr
